In addition to 24 hours of Basic Security Officer training, Healthcare Security Officers are specifically trained in the following:

Management of Aggressive/Combative Patients

At APG, we understand the unique needs of healthcare facilities.  Prior to assignment, APG Healthcare Security Officers are trained and certified in crisis intervention techniques.  Participants of this training regiment learn the essential skills to resolve crisis situations with minimal anxiety and maximum security.  Officers are taught the proper procedures on how to safely intervene when confronted with a dangerous behavior.

Training consists of classroom instruction and physical intervention principles.  A written examination is proctored at the conclusion of the class and successful Officers receive proper certification.
